How to configure a universal(Generic) driver to connect to a third-party digitizer:

If your digitizer is a third-party device and you are unaware of its settings, you can use Generic to create a driver for it.

The steps are as follows:

1. Create a new image digit file and open it.

2. Menu > Options > Device Configuration.

3. Add > Generic driver.

After configuring the Generic driver information, click Next.

This table contains default settings. If you don't have specific requirements, you can use the following settings as a starting point.

4. Digitizer Configuration Wizard

A. Resolution

- Input resolution and select unit

*If the imported paper pattern size is incorrect, it may be due to an incorrect unit.

B. Report Format

- Exporting Reader Data to Set Driver

1. Length Adjustment (Requires testing with multiple values ​​to determine the correct value)

*Incorrect length will prevent the reader data from being imported correctly.

a. If the length is unknown, the length value needs to be changed for testing. For example, selecting 18 for testing.

b. After checking “Load Settings”, select “Digitizer Port” and then click “Load Parameter”.

C. Press any mouse button on the digitizer table. If the number format shown in the image below appears in the blank column, the length setting is correct. If incorrect, press the “Finish” button each time, change the length value, and then press the button again to try.

2. Then, press each key sequentially on the digitizer table. The data for each key will appear in the blank column.

Once completed, you can try pressing the keys to input the patterns.
